Ventana principal
Actualmente, la ventana principal, puede tener una apariencia muy variada ya que es completamente configurable mediante plantillas. Esta página describe la plantilla que tiene DokuWiki por defecto.

Título y botones
En la parte superior izquierda puede verse el título de la página. En la parte derecha puede verse el título que se dió al wiki en su instalación. En una segunda línea puede verse una barra gris-azulado con algunos botones. Vamos a verlos uno a uno:
- “Edita esta página” - Sí, está permitido editar cualquier página en éste Wiki. That's what wikis are all about. See Editing DokuWiki Pages.
- “Revisiones anteriores” - Cuando alguien edita una página, DokuWiki recuerda versiones anteriores, las cuales son entonces llamadas revisiones. Ver Older page revisions.
- “Recent Changes” - This is one of the most important entry points into a wiki when you regularly visit this page. It leads to a list of pages that have recently been changed. See Recent Changes.
- “Search” - A fulltext search over the whole content of this wiki. See Search.
Breadcrumbs
The third line starts with the word 'Trace:”. After that is a list of pages that you've just read, like the history function in your browser. Read breadcrumbs for more info.
Note that another kind of breadcrumb is available, which displays the hierarchy of namespaces the current page is in. See the youarehere configuration setting.
