At the searchfield (and the summary field) of current DW-Style, the shadow effect looks very disharmonious to me, because the buttons next to it have opposite gradient. Imagine a virtual light that comes from above would not create such a shadow.

• I take it this style is available in the CVS and not the latest stable? I lost 1/2 my hair trying to figure out why CSS.php was empty (turns out that CSS & JavaScript compression is in fact the culprit!), and now I nearly lost my remaining hair trying to figure out why the buttons wheren't shading like they are here ;). – Mike
