Currently DokuWiki is included in the stable ('etch'), unstable and testing distributions of Debian. To install, use the standard Debian procedure:
#> aptitude update #> aptitude install dokuwiki
After unpacking, Debian's configuration system debconf will ask a few questions about the preferred configuration. If you missed them, run:
#> dpkg-reconfigure dokuwiki
Some of these questions are rather important; apparently the package defaults to removing your data when uninstalling, which is quite dangerous.
Don't forget to restart apache2 after the installation, before using DokuWiki.
Please use the Debian bug tracking system to report any bugs with the package http://www.debian.org/Bugs/. Note that to comply with the Debian policy the directory structure of DokuWiki has been reorganized. For example, the configuration files are located in /etc/dokuwiki/ .
