Is there a possibility to print the page?—- Hi

DokuWiki rules as a web based documentation system but i find when you print a DokuWiki page a looks nowhere near as nice as the web version - is there any work done or plugins made to make printed versions of DokuWiki pages nicer?

I would love to put all my system documentation into our DokuWiki and be able to easily print a nice looking version and distribute it to relevant people

Cheers

Justin

I second that request about work done on a DocuWiki print-friendly css template. DocuWiki is proving immensely useful for collecting information and instructions, but in order for it to fulfill its full potential, I need to be able to hand a print-out from DocuWiki to a customer and have it look not only readable, but vaguely professional. I have this on my to-do list, but I have little experience in this area, and surely someone must have done this already!

You people realize that there is a Print CSS already? — Andreas Gohr 2005-07-19 09:34
Where can it be accessed? That doesn't seem to be terribly obvious. — Marc Haber 2005-09-21
Your browser automagically uses it when you print the page. It can be found in your template folder (e.g. lib/tpl/default/print.css) and easily adjusted to your needs. — foosel 2005-09-22 21:32
Opera not. :-(
Opera also, Use Shift-P to switch to Print-Preview, any Menustructure should be gone, thats how its look on paper

—- Question: I am using a default configuration of dokuwiki and I have the following problem when printing out a wiki page using the print button (Firefox 1.0.x): Whenever there is an umlaut (ö,ä,ü), the next character is put nearly on top of the umlaut! This looks very ugly and reduces readability. Interesting enought, the page looks perfect in the print preview. Is this a browser problem, a css problem or a font issue on my system?

Answer: After fiddling around for a while, using different browsers and different operating systems, I realized that this is a bug specific to Mozilla Firefox 1.0.x on Linux. The bug does not occur e.g. in Konqueror on Linux or on Firefox on Windows! However, the printing of umlaute works for Firefox 1.5, so I recommend to use it!
