I have created a [[:wiki:config:php]] page for listing ''php.ini'' directives that have an impact on DokuWiki installations in terms of functionality, performance, security and portability. IMHO, some reference of this kind is needed in order to help beginners setup PHP in a sensible way.

If you have related tips, suggestions, interesting experiences etc please contribute to that page. For example, what is your experience with ''zlib.output_compression'' and browser compatibility or with ''memory_limit'' values and DokuWiki.
